AT-HOME MEASURING GUIDE
measure your nails in 10 minutes
Everything you need to find your measurements at home before choosing your next set.
What you need
- Clear tape or washi
- A pen
- A ruler or our free printable strip
Start clean.
Bare nails, hand relaxed, no polish or old press-ons.
Tape across the widest part.
Stick a short piece of tape side to side across the nail, about halfway down. Press it so it follows the curve edge to edge.
Mark the edges.
With the pen, mark the left and right sides of the nail on the tape.
Peel and lay it flat.
Stick the tape onto your ruler or printable strip. Read the distance between your two marks in millimetres.
Repeat for all ten.
Write each finger down as you go. Left and right hands can differ, so measure both.

Measure your nails
Enter the width in millimetres across the widest point of each nail. A category is suggested only when all ten measurements match one reference category. Always check the artist's actual widths.
